peNV gives you full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated information at any time, directly from within the peNV app.

How to Delete Your peNV Account

Your account and all associated data will be removed within seconds. This action cannot be undone.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your peNV account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your user profile (username, gender, pronouns, age, country, matching preferences)
• All chats and messages you have sent or received
• All matches and connections
• Your Firebase Cloud Messaging device token (push notifications stop immediately)
• Any groups you have created or joined
• Any reports you have submitted
• Your blocked-users list
• Your authentication record with peNV (Google or Apple Sign-In link)

What is Retained

For legal, safety, and abuse-prevention purposes, peNV retains a minimal deletion audit record containing:

• The username and email of the deleted account
• The date and time of deletion
• The reason for deletion (e.g. user-initiated, admin-initiated, policy violation)

This audit record is retained for the period required by applicable law and is used solely to prevent abuse (e.g. someone deleting and re-registering to evade a ban). It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Chats with Other Users

Note: messages you sent that are still within the 24-hour active window may remain visible to the other party in their chat until the 24-hour auto-deletion timer runs out. After 24 hours, all chats expire and are deleted automatically for both parties.

If You Cannot Access the App

If you cannot open the peNV app — for example, you have uninstalled it but still have an active account — you may request account deletion by email:

Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include: The email address associated with your peNV account and the username, if you remember it.

Your account will be deleted within 7 days of receiving a verified request.
